Girls Night Out IV

Rubicon hot off the Portland AVC, had a record number turn out for the fourth annual girls night out. 28 ladies showed up ready to take on the 42 degree bank of the Alpenrose Velodrome. Most of the ladies had come to watch the Portland American Velodrome Challenge and wanted to try their luck at riding the battleship grey banks.

After a half hour of switching out pedals, adjusting seat height and a general talk about general rules the ladies took off. After a few tries the girls where up and riding the banks of Alpenrose, whooping it up and having a good time.

The class was so big that we had to divide the girls up into four groups. The girls got to try their hand at pacelining, sprinting, bumping and just plain going fast. As 8:00pm rolled around the girls talked laughed and had chocolate cake; a good time was had by all. Many girls had such a good time it was asked repeatedly if Rubicon would put on a girls night out every month during summer.
