Land Rover-ORBEA takes 3rd at Elkhorn Stage Race
Elkhorn Stage Race -
With most of the guys on a much deserved down time, Evan resting from a crash at Nature Valley and Roman healing from having a pin put in his wrist, Land Rover-ORBEA sent only three riders to Baker City to race in the Elkhorn Stage Race. Carson, Bobby and Logan braved the rough weather to take 3rd over all in GC.

Stage 1 –Oregon Trail Road Race
Partly sunny skies, moderate temperatures and a police escort out of town greeted the start of the 8th annual event, with weather ranging from pelting torrential downpours and hail testing riders' endurance as they climbed up into, and then descended out of the Wollowa-Whitman National Forest on their way to the finish.
Land Rover-ORBEA wins Young Rider Jersey at NVGP
After placing 15th at the TD Bank Philadelphia International Cycling Championships . . . As I have since found out that placing 15th in this race is huge, especially for a first year pro squad, the next stop on the calendar for the boys in yellow was the Nature Valley Grand Prix. Nature Valley was a 6 stage, 5 day race. Three criteriums, two road stages and one time trial, for the first four stages the team waited to make it’s move on the young rider jersey.
Here’s Bobby Sweeting’s report on the race -
Mike Northey Takes lead in young rider competition

Mike take's over the young rider competition today. After stage one, Land Rover-ORBEA had two riders in the hunt for the young rider competition, Mike Northey and Bobby Sweeting. As the days went on the team put pressure on Ciclismo Racing to defend the jersey waiting for today's hill stage to attack. Mike Northey went 14 miles into the today's stage and the field never caught the break. Mike finished 3rd on the day and now wears the young rider jersey.
One more day and the team will in ready to defend the jersey. Nice job guys!
