Rubicon in Second going to the Final Stage

My text message has been going off every 5 minutes or so because everyone wants to know how the boy in Orange are doing. Here's the latest -

The criterum was fast, fast and then faster - a split happened and Aaron was on the wrong side of the split. Kirk saw it, looked back and saw Aaron on his wheel, Kirk knew what he had to do and it was going to hurt -HURT A LOT. Kirk hit the after burners and moved Aaron up into the first bunch of guys, where all the GC riders where sitting keeping Aaron in the lead for the TT coming up in the afternoon.

Rubicon Leading Tri-Peaks

Yes it's true! Rubicon is in the leader's jersey!

And for all of you who dream of being in the leader's jersey, it's great and it's trouble all in one.

Stage one -

Richard, Kirk and Matt went on the attacks for the first hour of the race; Aaron came up from the back and when the break went, he went with it. The break included

Chris Baldwin, Caleb Manion, Justin England from Toyota-United, Karl Menzies, Frank Pipp, Kirk O'Bee of Health Net presented by Maxxis, defending champion Andrew Bajadali of Jelly Belly and Aaron Tuckerman of Rubicon. They worked together while back in the field Rock Racing tried to get something working to close the gap, but couldn't. The last 9 miles or so are uphill- Karl Menzies stopped working in the break so, so did Aaron. At the 5k mark, Aaron jumped them, they all just looked at each other and Aaron soloed across the finish line for the win. The 62 mile race was completed in under 2 hours . . . .That's how fast they where moving.

Team Rubicon Press Release for Sea Otter

Team Rubicon, a Portland Oregon based team, will be in full force at this year's Sea Otter NRC event. The boys in Orange, who have been known for their astute racing—and who are also greatly recognized for their continual support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation and all those who have been affected by cancer—will be departing from their customary Orange jerseys at Sea Otter. Instead Rubicon will be wearing yellow . . . LIVESTRONG Yellow.
